FIELD: smoking articles.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a filter comprising a capsule in a cavity and to a smoking article having a mouthpiece comprising such a capsule in the cavity. Smoking article comprises an aerosol-generating substrate and a mouthpiece having a cavity at least partially filled with loose material and comprising a collapsible capsule with a liquid flavouring agent at least partially surrounded by said granular material, wherein the loose material comprises at least one sorbent, wherein the force required to break the capsule inside the mouthpiece for releasing the liquid flavouring agent is less than three times the capsule self-resistance to crushing, wherein loose material hardness is at least 90 % when measured by hardness test by incident hammer method, carried out in accordance with D3802 standard of ASTM (American Society for Testing Materials), wherein at least 30 percent of the total pore volume of said at least one sorbent is pores with a size in the range of about 2 nm to about 50 nm.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the creation of a new version of the filter, which includes destructible capsules with a flavouring agent and in which there is possibility of easier crushing of these capsules by the user while minimizing the risk of accidental destruction of capsules during production and routine handling of smoking articles.
