FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to neurosurgery. Main arterial afferent is catheterised, through which embolisation will be performed. An occlusion balloon catheter is followed by a catheterisation of a second-order artery and its temporary occlusion. That is followed by embolization of arteriovenous malformations (AVM) with the inflated balloon and occlusion of secondary afferents by introducing a non-adhesive adhesive composition through the catheter into the main afferent.
EFFECT: method enables increasing the effectiveness of embolisation of diffuse AVM of the brain using a non-adhesive adhesive composition by eliminating the effect of a large number of secondary afferents on the pressure in the malformation coil.
