FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for cleaning gases of dust and other solid particles in various industries. Apparatus for cleaning gases includes a cylinder-conical housing, to the upper end part of which is connected an outlet branch pipe, to the side surface of the cylindrical part, in its upper zone, an inlet branch pipe, and in the lower part there is a bin communicating with the conical part of the housing through an unloading hole. In the inner volume of the body, in its conical part, coaxial cylinder-conical screen is installed with possibility of vertical movement, at that angle of taper of its conic part coincides with conic angle of tapered part of the housing. Diameter of the screen cylindrical part is smaller than the diameter of the discharge opening. Cylinder-conical screen is equipped with vertical displacement drive arranged in inner volume of hopper and connected with cylindrical part of cylinder-conical screen by means of radial spokes and closed by elastic casing.

EFFECT: simple design, low hydraulic resistance, efficient cleaning of contaminated gases.
