SUBSTANCE: self-propelled underwater search apparatus has an on-board detection system, which includes an optical device for detecting an accompanying vortex trace of mobile marine objects and a computing device which calculates a speed mode and a trajectory of the self-propelled search underwater vehicle for the marine body after detecting its wake vortex trace, and the propulsion unit has a speed change mechanism.
EFFECT: possibility of detecting a marine object at a considerable distance along its coherent vortex trace and approaching it closely.
