SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for destruction of marine targets by torpedoes. Torpedo is prepared for launching on target, coordinates of which are not known, and only bearing on detected torpedo, released by naval target on ship, and its course are known. Into the on-board control system, a route of movement is entered, directed along the course of the detected enemy torpedo in the opposite direction towards the point of its start. At the specified point of the trajectory the on-board acoustic homing system of the torpedo is activated and the sea target is searched. With detection of sea target, it is classified by homing system, and in remote control by an operator, performing a target attack with a torpedo, when releasing more than one torpedo from a ship, they are placed on the route at a distance between them on the front, equal to the width of the band, which is surveyed by the torpedo homing system, one torpedo is directed against the enemy attacking torpedo, its combat part is blasted at the design point of space or when approaching the enemy torpedo at fuse actuation distance, in case of remote control after detection of the target of one of the torpedoes other volleys torpedoes are induced on it.
