SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ammunition and, in particular, to fragmentation grenades of hand grenade launchers and can be used in creation of ammunition. Grenade comprises cassette warhead with fragmentation subprojectiles. Grenade rear end accommodates solid-propellant rocket engine. It includes cylindrical housing with charge of solid fuel and nozzle. Trajectory fuse is installed in the middle part. In front part there is a combat part in the form of a set of fragmentation subprojectiles or propellant units. Each of them contains detonating fuse. Pyrotechnical separation charge is arranged between trajectory fuse and set of subshells. Set of subprojectiles is located in the cylindrical casing with the nose fairing. Said housing is detachable from rocket engine to discharge subprojectiles under action of independent blow-out powder charges. Subshells feature spherical shape. At that, the combat part is made over-caliber or caliber. Subprojectiles cylindrical housing is configured to eject subprojectiles along grenade longitudinal axis into both sides, wherein head fairing is hingedly connected to said housing, is configured to turn about its axis of rotation through angle of 180°, fixation in the specified position and undocking with the cylindrical body at approach of the grenade to the design point; at that, the grenade itself at its translational movement is provided with possibility of rotary movement.
EFFECT: technical result is higher effectiveness of grenade combat due to increased area of damage.
