FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines during their testing and finishing after modernization, boosting or stripping. Device comprises a reversible helical pair and a mechanism for forced change in the mutual position of the screw pair elements, process drive (gear, sprocket) of cam shaft 10 and cam shaft 11, to hub of drive (gear, sprocket) there attached is cage 7 of reversible ball-screw gear transmitting rotation force, which occurs at axial movement of screw shaft 5, to separator 8, rigidly connected with cam shaft 11. On shank of screw shaft of ball-screw gear there mounted is bearing assembly 3 for transfer of axial force from mechanism of axial movement 2 – "screw-nut" to screw shaft, wherein housing of bearing assembly 3 when axle 1 rotates performs axial movements together with screw shaft 5 and camshaft changes angular position relative to drive. Housing of device, in which mechanisms and parts (except for control handle) are installed, is fixed on process casing of crankcase of gas-distributing mechanism of engine.

EFFECT: technical result consists in simplification of design, reduction of dimensions and mass parameters, reduction of labor input of connection and error of parameters change during bench tests and possibility of forced stepless change of angular position of cam shaft relative to crankshaft in any mode of testing engine.
