FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method can be used in power engineering at thermal power plants (TPP) and nuclear power plants (NPP) when recycling low-grade heat of circulating water with a heat pump in order to increase energy efficiency. Utilization of low-grade heat from cooling water of condenser of steam turbine is carried out by heat extraction by means of heat pump evaporator, which is connected to supply pipeline of cooling water of condenser of steam turbine, and selected heat is used to heat condensate from steam turbine condenser by heat transfer in heat pump condenser. To implement the method, the heat pump evaporator is connected to the steam turbine condenser cooling water supply pipeline, and the heat pump condenser is connected to the steam turbine condensate pipeline.
EFFECT: positive effect of proposed method is that selected heat is used for heating condensate, completely eliminating the use of low pressure heater (LPH), and since there is no intermediate steam extraction from the turbine, this steam will pass through the rest stages of the turbine, performing additional work and increasing the electric power generation.
