SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of recording state of pump unit or part of pump unit. Method includes the following steps of the method: recording a video sequence of the pump unit in operation or at least a part thereof, and determining the state of the pump unit or part thereof as per changes on the images of the video sequence. Speed of change between pixels or groups of pixels of image images following each other is determined, and the state of the pump unit is determined based on certain rates of change. Video art is evaluated by digital processing of images with support of data bank.
EFFECT: invention allows simple and without large design costs to determine whether the pump unit is operating properly, or in this region there are unacceptably high oscillations, which indicate a defect, for example, damage to the bearing or non-optimum adjustment of rotation frequency.
