GRAIN FIELD YIELD PREDICTION Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G06Q50/02 A01G22/20

Abstract RU 2769288 C2

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for predicting crop capacity of a grain field. Method includes the following operations: placing a digital camera at a given distance above the middle plane of ears of a grain field, photographing a digital image of a fragment of the grain field of the grain field, determining the area of the photographed fragment of the grain field, determination of the total area of ears on the digital image in comparison with the total area of the digital image. Then, field yield is determined from total area of ears on digital image in comparison with the total area of the digital image, the determined area of the photographed fragment of the grain field, the average weight of the ear grain, the total area of the field, and the first calibration coefficient. Invention also relates to a corresponding system for predicting crop yield and a machine-readable data medium, containing machine-readable program instructions for performing actions of the described method.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of field yield prediction.
