SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of measuring equipment and concerns a method for the assessment of suitability of a mobile device for analytical measurement. The method includes: a) provision of at least one mobile device with at least one camera; b) provision of at least one reference object with at least one given spatial length in at least one spatial dimension; c) shooting with the camera of at least one image of at least part of the reference object; d) reception of at least one element of information about spatial resolution by means of the image, wherein at least one element of information about spatial resolution includes one or several numerical values quantifying the capability of the camera of resolving two or more objects in the image; e) comparison of at least one element of information about spatial resolution with at least one threshold value.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of measurements, when conducting analytical measurements, using a mobile device.
