FIELD: cutting.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laser cutting of thin-sheet carbon fibre-reinforced plastic and can be used in aviation and aerospace engineering. Proposed method comprises laying of carbon fibre billet on substrate-stencil with cut out part contour, supply of laser beam with pulses with frequency of 100–5000 Hz and pulse ratio of 3.0–1.25 and coaxial with process gas and its movement along pre-set trajectory. Part outline is made with bridges. Material of the stencil substrate is a sheet material of fibre-optic glass, PVC or CAST.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing high accuracy of processing with minimum defect of cutting edge (minimum zone of thermal effect).
