FIELD: cryogenic technology.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is in situ conversion assembly with press fit for valve with upper connector and method of its implementation, with respect to valves used in cryogenic industry. Assembly comprises circular pipe (201) comprising segment (202) of reduced outer diameter and collar (203) on outer surface at near end (204), and is matched with valve seat (206) inner surface (205) at far end (207). Expansion (208) of valve body comprises inner round area (301) and inlet channel (209) communicated with round area (301). Washer (211) for pressing gland sealing gasket is made with possibility of passage of round tube (201) through it, thus providing formation of outlet channel (212). Thrust washer (403) is attached to pressure screws (401). Thrust washer (403) makes it possible to pass there through segment (202) of reduced outer diameter at near end (204) of round tube (201), wherein thrust washer (403) sits on collar (203). Unit and method provide for removal of part of fluid medium from refrigerating chamber for required treatment or action downstream.
EFFECT: proposed invention provides the possibility of modifying and retrofitting a valve with an upper connector in place, which enables to remove a portion of fluid from the refrigerating chamber to perform downstream processing or manipulation thereof, if necessary.
