FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to agriculture. Microencapsulated suspension composition for enhancing the nitrification inhibitor stability comprises: a suspended phase comprising a plurality of microcapsules having an average volume size of particles from about 1 to about 10 mcm, where the microcapsules contain: a microcapsule wall obtained by an interphase polycondensation reaction between the polymer isocyanate and the polyamine to obtain a polyurea shell, a liquid core encapsulated in the polyurea shell and an aqueous phase, wherein the aqueous phase contains at least about 1.0 weight percent of the aromatic solvent of the total weight of the microencapsulated suspension composition. Fertilizer composition contains nitrogen fertilizer and microencapsulated suspension composition. Method of suppressing nitrification of ammonium nitrogen in a growth medium involves steps of applying a microencapsulated suspension composition on a medium for growing plants.
EFFECT: invention enables to deliver nitrification inhibitors which demonstrate higher long-term stability in field conditions, while maintaining efficiency level.
