FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to application of coating for application of coating material on component and to installation for application of coating material, by means of which this method can be implemented. Coating application method for application of a coating material on a component moved by a conveyor, along which at least one sprayer is installed, which is movable in a plane, which is inclined or perpendicular to conveyor motion axis, includes at least one of automated stages. Automated stages consist of determining coordinates of points of one or several lines of the external profile of the component, distributed along the length of the component, in a fixed system of coordinates. Stages also consist of assignment for each sprayer of points of each line of external profile, which lie in area of coating material spraying, and identification point for each line of external profile from number of points related to each sprayer, which is closest to specific sprayer. Also, the steps consist of determining, for each sprayer, a tracking line which passes through an orthogonal projection of all most closely spaced points identified at the point identification step, in plane passing through sprayer axis and parallel to conveyor axis of movement. Also, the steps consist of setting a predetermined trajectory of points for each sprayer based on points of the tracking line so that to automatically and independently adjust the distance for application of coating material from each sprayer in accordance with the external profile of the component. Coating application plant comprises at least a first means for determining coordinates of points, a second means for assigning points of each line of the outer profile for each atomiser and a third means for identifying the point. Besides, the apparatus comprises a fourth means for determining, for each sprayer, a tracking line and a fifth means for establishing a predetermined path of points for each sprayer based on tracking line points for automatic and independent adjustment of distance for application of coating material from the sprayer according to the outer profile of the component.
EFFECT: possibility of automatic and independent adjustment of distance for application of coating material from each sprayer for the purpose of adaptation to components having free forms, or components which are not rigidly fixed or retained in place as components move on conveyor in front direction.
