SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for heat recovery in paraxylene production plant. Method for heat recovery comprises feeding a first feed stream into a fractionating column, wherein the feed stream contains C8-flavoring substances, supplying heat to the fractionating column heater for separation of the feed stream into a head product containing benzene, a still product containing C9+ aromatic substances, liquid product of side line containing xylenes, which is discharged through a line of liquid product of side line, and vapour product of side line, which is discharged through a line of vapour product of side line containing xylenes, and heat recovery from side product vapour product by means of side condenser, wherein line of vapour product of side line is located below point of supply of first feed stream.
EFFECT: technical result: effective heat recovery in paraxylene production plant.
