FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to versions of an active buffer for vehicles. Active buffer contains an external finishing panel with a welded path. Expandable inflatable chamber element comprises central part configured to be attached to vehicle support structure, welded flange along peripheral edge and corrugated area between central part and welded flange. Welded path and welding flange are connected by means of hot welding to form sealed chamber. Welding path comprises multiple radial spaced stepped recesses. Each recess comprises an upper portion forming a first opening with a corresponding first cross-sectional area, and second part forming second opening with corresponding second cross-section area, smaller than corresponding first area. Perimeter of each upper part is melted by means of hot welding, and perimeter of each lower part is not melted by means of hot welding.
EFFECT: providing reliability of connection between expandable inflatable chamber element and finishing wall.
