FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to surgical instruments, specifically to methods, devices and elements therein for cutting and stapling fabrics. Tissue stapling kit comprises a surgical suturing instrument and an auxiliary material. Surgical stapling instrument has an end effector, wherein the end effector comprises a first and a second branch. Auxiliary material has hydrophobic surface areas and hydrophilic surface areas. Auxiliary material is made with possibility of interfacing with at least one of the cut end effector. Staple cartridge assembly for use with a surgical stapling instrument comprises a cartridge body and an auxiliary material. Cartridge body has multiple staples arranged therein. Auxiliary material can be coupled with the cartridge and can be attached to the tissue by means of staples in the cassette. Auxiliary material has a hydrophobic surface area and an opposite hydrophilic surface area. Fabric suturing method involves attaching auxiliary material to an end effector on a surgical suturing device such that the hydrophobic surface on the auxiliary material is in direct contact with the end effector; engaging the fabric between the branches of the end effector so that the hydrophilic surface on the auxiliary material is directly in contact with the tissue; and actuating the end effector to eject at least one staple from the end effector into the tissue, wherein at least one of the staples extends through the auxiliary material for attaching the auxiliary material to the tissues.
EFFECT: group of inventions is characterized by an improved device and method for stapling tissues, blood vessels, ducts, shunts or other objects or parts of the body so as to minimize inconsistency of sutures and inflammation and at the same time, in fact, preserve the natural characteristics of the treatment area.
