FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to surgical instruments. Surgical instrument for treating a patient's tissue comprises a barrel assembly, an end effector and a staple cartridge. End effector extends from the shaft assembly along the central line of the branch. Said end effector contains a first jaw and a second jaw. First jaw has a stop configured to form staples pressed to the anvil. First and second jaws are configured to switch between open configuration and closed configuration. Cartridge with staples is received inside the second branch. Cartridge with staples comprises a platform, holes for staples and staples. Platform faces the limit stop. Central line of the branch represents the central line of the platform. Stapling holes are formed in the platform. At least one of the staple holes passes at an angle through the center line. Staples are located inside the staple holes. End effector, staple cartridge and central line of branch have straight part extending to arc-shaped part, and at least one hole for bracket, which passes at an angle through central line of branch, is formed in arc-shaped part of staple cartridge. Central line of branch extends longitudinally along transverse width of end effector along linear part and arc-shaped part.
EFFECT: use of the invention provides a reliable seal in tissue subject to resection when using an arc-shaped annular effector.
