END EFFECTOR OF A SURGICAL STAPLING INSTRUMENT WITH A PIERCER OF A ROW OF STAPLES CROSSING THE CENTRAL LINE Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B17/72

Abstract RU 2728573 C2

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a surgical instrument for treating patient's tissues. Surgical instrument for treating patient's tissues comprises a shaft assembly, an end effector and a staple cartridge. End effector extends from the shaft assembly along the central line of the branch. Said end effector contains a first jaw and a second jaw. First jaw has a stop configured to form staples pressed to the anvil. First and second jaws are configured to switch between open configuration and closed configuration. Cartridge with staples is placed inside the second branch. Cartridge with staples comprises a platform, staples, wedge-like slides and ejecting assemblies. Platform faces the limit stop. Platform forms holes for staples. Staples are located inside the staple holes. Wedge-like slides comprise cam inclined surface located on central line of branch. Wedge slides are made with possibility to slide next to platform from proximal position of slides to distal position of slides along central line. Ejection units are arranged along the central line of the branch. Each ejecting assembly has a first ejector, a second ejector and a pusher cam extending therebetween. First pusher receives the first staple from staples, and the second pusher receives the second staple from staples. Each cam of the ejector has a first side and an opposite second side. First ejector is connected to first side of ejector cam. Second extractor is connected to the opposite side of the ejector cam. Ejector cam is located on both sides of the central line, as a result of which the first and second ejectors are located on opposite sides of the central line. Each ejector cam is made with possibility of engagement by wedge-like slides sliding in direction of the selking distal position, and therefore pushing in direction of first branch, thereby pressing corresponding first and second staples to the anvil. Cam inclined surface is made with possibility to engage with ejecting unit and to move ejecting unit in direction of first branch.

EFFECT: use of the invention enables tissue cross-linking and dissection in the patient's body.
