FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection of metals from corrosion using inhibitors and can be used for protection of various equipment made of copper and its alloys. Corrosion inhibitor of copper and its alloys contains a heterocyclic organic compound of azol type, wherein the active substance is 5-alkylsulphonyl-3-amino-1,2,4-triazole of general formula I:
, where R is a substitute selected from ethyl-, propyl-, butyl-, pentyl-, benzyl-.
EFFECT: technical result is effective reduction of corrosion rate of copper and its alloys.
