FIELD: various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical treatment of metal surface, in particular to removal of chemically applied nickel-phosphorus coatings from copper or copper-containing substrate, and can be used in radio electronics, instrument making and other industries. Solution for removing nickel-phosphorus coating from a copper or copper-containing substrate contains components in the following ratio, g/l: 4-nitrophthalic acid 60–120, ethylenediamine 110–210, sodium hydroxide 64–128, 3-amino-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole 0.116–0.580, distilled water up to 1 l.
EFFECT: reducing the rate of under-etching of copper bases when cleaning them from nickel-phosphorus coatings without increasing roughness and pitting formation.
