FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery, and can be used in surgical management of the patients with resistant symptomatic arterial hypertension caused by a combination of carotid artery stenosis and adrenal tumor. That is ensured by measuring arterial pressure. Then, in the supine position, 0.01 % isosorbide dinitrate (Isoket) is introduced in amount of 50–100 ml using the infusion pump. That is followed by measuring arterial pressure and recording its decrease by 40 mm Hg and more. Patient is examined by a neurologist. If observing no symptoms of the neurological deficit, the first stage of the adrenalectomy is decided, and the second step involves a carotid endarterectomy. If neurological deficiency symptoms appear, the first stage of carotid endarterectomy is considered to be performed, while adrenalectomy is performed as the second stage.
EFFECT: method provides fast and objective selection of the surgical sequence in the given category of patients.
