FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to coated substrate from valve metal with coating, which includes a beastite first catalytic layer, consisting of amorphous phase Ta2O5 in a mixture with a tetragonal ditetragonal-dipiramidic crystalline phase, consisting of either RuO2, or from RuO2 solid solution and SnO2, wherein said first catalyst layer has a weight ratio of said amorphous phase to said crystalline phase, ranging from 0.25 to 2.5, and the weight ratio of Ru to Sn in said crystalline phase ranges from 0.5 to 2, and second catalyst layer applied on said first catalyst layer from outside, said second catalyst layer consisting of amorphous phase Ta2O5, mixed with tetragonal ditragonal-dipiramidic crystalline phase RuO2, at weight ratio of Ru to Ta, ranging from 3 to 5, wherein content of ruthenium oxide in said second layer is greater than in said first layer. Invention also relates to an electrolysis cell and a method of making coated substrate from a valve metal.
EFFECT: use of the proposed group of inventions makes it possible to provide increased period of normal operation of parts in electrolysis units of hydrochloric acid.
