SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrode for gas extraction in electrolytic processes, including substrate of valve metal and coating. On the mentioned substrate, the first catalytic layer is formed, containing a mixture of iridium, ruthenium, tin, and platinum, or oxides thereof, or combinations thereof, obtained from precursors containing the mentioned iridium, ruthenium, and tin in the form of metalorganic complexes. On the mentioned first catalytic layer, the second catalytic layer is formed, containing platinum and tin, or oxides thereof, or combinations thereof. The mentioned tin in the mentioned second catalytic layer is present at a concentration decreasing from an interface with the mentioned first catalytic layer. The mentioned platinum in the mentioned first catalytic layer is present at a concentration decreasing from the interface with the mentioned second catalytic layer. The invention also concerns an electrode option for gas extraction, an electrode production method, a cell for electrolysis of chloride metal solutions, an electrolyzer for the production of chlore and alkali from alkali metal chloride solutions.

EFFECT: creation of new catalytic coating for electrodes intended for extraction of gaseous products in electrolytic cells during saline electrolysis, characterized by a higher level of catalytic activity and high resistance.
