FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement of electrical quantities and can be used to determine active power in three-phase AC networks. Method of measuring active power in a three-phase symmetrical network consists in measuring current and voltage sensors operating on the Hall effect, instantaneous values of current and voltage at each phase, matching and bringing them to a standard form, and then obtained values of currents and voltages are simultaneously converted from three-phase coordinate system into two-phase orthogonal α-β coordinate system: where Uα, Uβ – projections of stresses in α-β coordinate system; Iα, Iβ – projections of currents in α-β coordinate system; IA, IB, IC – instantaneous phase currents; UA, UB, UC – instantaneous phase voltages; obtained projections of currents and voltages in coordinate system α-β multiplying Iα⋅Uα and Iβ⋅Uβ, then folded and multiplied by the number of phases: obtaining value of active power.

EFFECT: higher measurement accuracy and faster operation.
