FIELD: fire safety.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire-prevention equipment and can be used for protection of cable crossings in strong ship bulkheads, industrial facilities with increased fire hazard. Fireproof device of cable transition of strong bulkhead contains installed fixed connection of cable and its casing. Space between the casing and the cable connection is filled with a fire-retardant material with thixotropic properties and high viscosity which at high temperature is converted into a foamed silicate with low heat conductivity and low mechanical strength. Said fire-retardant material at high temperature is converted into foam-silicate mass with low thermal conductivity and low mechanical strength. Protective casing is dismountable. Foam silicate mass filling the space between the casing and the cable joint is easily removable.

EFFECT: technical result consists in simplification of design, improvement of reliability, manufacturability and efficiency of fire protection due to use of technology of counteraction to fire, based on use of fire-retardant material, having thixotropic properties and high viscosity.
