Technical result is achieved by the fact that in a terminal having a touch screen with ambient light sensors distributed thereon when light coming into at least one ambient light sensor is obstructed and no touch operation applied on the touch screen is detected, and if it is detected that the light coming into the ambient light sensor is first switched from the closed state to the blocked state and then switched from the enclosed state to the closed state, the gesture of the user can be recognized according to the position of the said at least one ambient light sensor.
EFFECT: enabling gesture recognition performed by user without making contact with touch screen.
