FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment of titanium alloys by pressure. Result is provided due to fact that workpiece is heated and deformed by drawing or rolling in several passes, according to invention deformation of workpiece is carried out at temperature Tw= (450–850) °C, and workpiece heating to this temperature is performed by induction method by means of one, two or three induction heating units with specified rated power and frequency.

EFFECT: method reduces duration of a full cycle of wire production, enables to obtain a wire with a single piece without welded joints, high strength and plasticity of titanium wire from (α+β)-titanium alloy, obtaining a homogeneous, fine-grained alloy structure, low anisotropy of mechanical properties over the wire length and section.
