FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of processing titanium alloys by pressure can be used in making wire from (α+β)-titanium alloy by hot deformation method. Proposed method comprises billet heating and deformation by drawing or rolling. Billet is heated by induction method using one, two or three induction heating devices depending on billet diameter, and the workpiece is deformed at the deformation degree of the workpiece μ = (10–50) % per one pass. Parameters of induction heating devices are given depending on billet diameter.

EFFECT: reduced duration of full cycle of wire production, increased strength and plasticity of wire.
