FIELD: smoking accessories.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to steam generation systems, such as nicotine delivery systems (e.g. electronic cigarettes and similar devices), and separable cartridges/cartomizers for use in such systems and, in particular, to air flow in steam generation systems. Steam generation device includes steam generating chamber containing evaporator for steam generation from initial material for steam generation; and an air passage wall forming an air passage between the steam generating chamber and the steam outlet opening at the end of the steam generation nozzle, through which the user can inhale steam when in use; wherein the air duct wall inner surface comprises at least one protrusion protruding into the air channel to change the air flow in the air passage by imparting a degree of rotation around the air channel length axis when used; at least one protrusion forms at least one protruding wall protruding into the air channel and having a surface inclined at a non-zero angle making at least 10° to the axis of the length of the air channel; and at least one projection covers from 20 % to 80 % of cross-section area of air channel in plane perpendicular to axis of length of said air channel.

EFFECT: improved nicotine delivery systems.
