FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to end seals for rotating shafts. On the non-rotating sealing ring there made is a closed contact belt with a constant along the width and variable along the radius profile. Width of the contact band is equal to half the width of the contact zone of the sealing rings, and the axisymmetric profile of the contact belt is conjugated wavy lines arranged between concentric circles limiting the contact zone of the sealing rings. Profile is made under condition of equality of corresponding radii of circles forming two conjugate arcs of parallel wavy lines in each sector of axisymmetric profile of contact belt, where centres of wave-forming circles are located on the lines limiting the sector and passing through the centre of the non-rotating seal ring, outside the zone limited by concentric circles. Ratio of outer and inner diameters of concentric circles is 1.25.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of embrittlement of contact belt on element of friction pair and in increase in its wear resistance.
