FIELD: engine devices and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: end seal comprises a movable sealing band formed by a pair of anti-friction rings, one of which has a hydrodynamic stage and interacts via a support element in radial direction through a secondary seal with a body, and in axial direction along an annular band located in diametric limits of inlet edge of the sealing band and secondary seal. The front edge of the annular band is formed by inner side of a circular groove in which an elastic ring of round section is arranged. The anti-friction rings are symmetrical in cross-section, on the peripheral part of the non-rotating sealing ring on both sides there are uniformed hydrodynamic stages, the annular band of the supporting element is arranged in the middle of the sealing band, and center of the elastic ring of circular section of the secondary seal lies within the limits of the sealing band inlet edge.
EFFECT: generation of flat-parallel gap in a sealing joint with constant layer of liquid distributed over the entire sealing joint, due to which the temperature fields which occur in the sealing joint will be distributed evenly over the entire surface of the rings, which will result in heat-stable operation of the seal.
