FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polyethylene resins. Polyethylene resin contains units derived from ethylene and optionally one or more other olefins. Resin has a density greater than or equal to 0.945 g/cm3, measured according to ASTM D792, melt flow ratio (I21/ I5) in the range of 10–60, measured according to ASTM D1238 (I21 and I5 measured at 190 °C and a mass of 21.6 kg or 5 kg, respectively), and a flow index (I21) in the range of 2–60. Resin is obtained by bringing ethylene, hydrogen, and optionally one or more other olefins into contact with a catalyst system containing at least two different catalytic compounds in a ratio of 2.5 to 1.8.
EFFECT: polyethylene resins exhibit a variable melt flow ratio and/or variable swelling properties using a single catalytic system.
