FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing polyethylene. Method involves polymerisation of ethylene in the presence of a catalyst system in a reactor to obtain polyethylene and control of conditions in the reactor and amount of a second catalyst fed into the reactor, to control melt index (MI), density and melt flow index (MFR) of polyethylene. Catalyst system comprises first catalyst and second catalyst. Regulation of conditions in the reactor controls at least one of the following conditions: operating temperature of the reactor, concentration of comonomer in the polymerisation mixture in the reactor, concentration of hydrogen in the polymerisation mixture in the reactor and amount of the second catalyst fed into the reactor.
EFFECT: improved properties and characteristics of polyethylene due to control of conditions in the reactor.
