FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to clinical cardiology. A clinical examination is conducted to detect arterial hypertension, a laboratory examination to determine an atherogenicity index, a screening echocardiographic examination to detect signs of ascending aortic atherosclerosis, with subsequent determination of non-obstructive coronary atherosclerosis based on the total scoring cardinal score obtained without coronary angiography. For total score less than or equal to 517, non-obstructive coronary atherosclerosis in males is diagnosed. If total score is more than 517 points, unchanged coronary arteries are diagnosed in males.

EFFECT: method enables higher accuracy of early non-invasive diagnostics of coronary atherosclerosis, particularly non-obstructive changes of coronary arteries in a separate category of men - men with suspected ischemic heart disease with negative/doubtful result of a loading test or contraindication to its carrying out.
