FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cardiology, clinical and laboratory diagnostics. Blood serum is analyzed for high-density lipoprotein (HDL) level, brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) level, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) level, patient's adherence to smoking and physical activity are assessed by interviewing the patient. Original formula is used to determine the regression coefficient (K). If K is more than 1.481, non-obstructive coronary atherosclerosis is diagnosed; if K is less than 1.481, obstructive coronary atherosclerosis is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method enables non-invasive diagnosis of early manifestations of coronary atherosclerosis in ischemic heart disease, which in turn makes it possible to increase efficiency of diagnosis, to determine indications for coronary angiography and to perform secondary prevention of cardiovascular risks.
