FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to pediatric surgery, and can be used to determine a local necrosis area and a bowel resection rate in intestinal obstruction in children. Stimulate HNS 12 neurostimulator stimulates intestinal wall smooth muscle contraction 0.5 mA for 3 seconds. Stimulation is performed by means of peripheral electrode with blunt conical tip. A local necrotic area is identified in the form of a funnel-shaped recess. A level of intestinal resection is determined by step-by-step movement of a peripheral electrode with a blunt conical tip from the central part of the local necrotic area in the distal and proximal directions to produce circular contraction of the intestine, acting also with current 0.5 mA for 3 seconds. A necrotized segment is excised at a distance of at least 2 cm from the external boundaries of the detected zones of circular contraction in the distal and proximal directions.
EFFECT: method provides reducing intraoperative injuries and preventing enteral insufficiency by preserving a greater volume of viable intestine.
