FIELD: liquid atomisation or spraying devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of spraying liquids and solutions and can be used in engine building, chemical and paint industry. Method of producing a droplet flow with controlled disperse composition involves spraying liquid in a gaseous medium with a centrifugal nozzle comprising a twisting chamber, inlet tangential channels and an outlet nozzle. During liquid spraying total area of input tangential channels is changed by discrete overlapping of part of channels, and maximum diameter of drops Dmax, differential g(D) and integral G(D) functions of mass distribution of droplets by size in flow are determined in accordance with relationships where δ – thickness of liquid film in outlet section of nozzle, m; Oh is Ohnesorge number; Re is Reynolds number; D is diameter of liquid drops, m. Values of film thickness of liquid, numbers Re and Oh are determined by calculation by formulas of theory of centrifugal G. N. Abramovich nozzle for specified values of liquid flow rate and geometrical characteristics of injector.
EFFECT: possibility of adjusting the dispersion of liquid drops in the nozzle spraying torch during its operation.
