FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to cryosurgery and oncology, and can be used for percutaneous cryotherapy of gynecomastia. That is ensured by cryoexposure to the tumor with ultrasound-controlled liquid argon. Note here that 2.4 mm cryoprobes are introduced into tumor nodes. Node is frozen at -100 °C and held for 10 minutes to destroy the selected tumor tissue. Then follows the stage of spontaneous thawing during 15–20 minutes or active thawing, when helium is supplied into cryoprobe, the probe is heated to temperature of 40 °C and maintained for 6–10 minutes till complete thawing. After complete thawing, the freezing cycle is repeated at -100 °C, holding time is 10 minutes. Thereafter, the cryoprobe is dried in active defrosting mode and removed from the tumor area.
EFFECT: method provides complete destruction of a given volume of glandular tumor tissue with minimal traumatisation of healthy tissues.
