FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for single-step synthesis of sandwich bis(phthalocyaninates) of rare-earth elements of general formula (I) and/or tris(phthalocyaninates) of rare-earth elements of general formula (II)

R and R' can independently or simultaneously take values of H, lower alkyl, as well as R+R' can be -OC(CH3)2O-; Ln = element from row of rare-earth elements. Method is realized from monophthalocyaninates of rare-earth elements of general formula III

where X = halogen, CH3COO, CH3COCHCOCH3, in an open or closed vessel at atmospheric or elevated pressure, respectively, and temperature of 290–430 °C with subsequent, if necessary, chromatographic separation of obtained products.
EFFECT: method enables synthesis of sandwich phthalocyaninates of rare-earth elements in air or in an inert atmosphere with high output.
