FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing composite sorbents for extraction of heavy metal ions from aqueous solutions. Chitosan solution is mixed in 1 % acetic acid with dispersion of reinforcing material in distilled water at weight ratio of reinforcing disperse material and chitosan 1:10–1:2. Epichlorohydrin is added. Prepared mixture is introduced into an aqueous solution of sodium tripolyphosphate, the formed composite microspheres are held in a solution, separated from the dispersion medium and washed with water. Reinforcing disperse material used is a polymethylsiloxane polyhydrate. Composition of composite microspheres in water solution of sodium tripolyphosphate is carried out at microwave irradiation with power of 300 W with frequency of 2.45 GHz and temperature of 25–40 °C for 15–25 minutes.

EFFECT: reduced duration of the process and high sorption capacity of the sorbent with respect to heavy metal ions.
