FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry and specifically to a method of producing a composite sorbent for extracting heavy metal ions from aqueous solutions. Method of producing a composite sorbent for extracting heavy metal ions from aqueous solutions, comprising mixing a solution of chitosan in acetic acid with an aqueous solution of gelatine with a weight ratio of gelatine : chitosan of 1:5-1:3, dispersion of filler in distilled water with weight ratio of filler and chitosan 1:10-1:2, intensive mixing and gradual addition of a cross-linking agent and stirring, followed by drop-by-drop introduction of the prepared mixture into the aqueous solution of the alkaline agent while stirring, holding formed microspheres in it, followed by their separation from dispersion medium and thorough washing with distilled water from unreacted alkaline agent, characterized by that the filler used is crushed eggshell, polymethylsiloxane polyhydrate, montmorillonite, 1-5 vol.% acetic acid is used to obtain a chitosan solution, as a cross-linking agent, an aqueous tea extract is added to the composition of the sorbent at a weight ratio of chitosan : tea of 1:1-1:2, the prepared mixture of chitosan, gelatine, a filler dispersion and the tea extract is treated with ultrasound for 20-40 minutes at room temperature, and holding composite microspheres is carried out in aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide with concentration of 1-2 M.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a sorbent with high sorption capacity with respect to heavy metal ions.
