SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in machines for grinding hard-alloy inserts of roller drill bits. Grinding machine has a grinding machine equipped with a cup grinding wheel rotated about its longitudinal axis by means of an engine. There are support system of cantilevers or levers for control of vertical movement of grinding machine, facility for providing grinding pressure in form of linear actuator and assembly of load sensors connected with possibility of rotation with system of supports or levers, as well as device for minor displacement of grinding machine during grinding along uneven surface on hard-alloy insert without adjustment of linear actuator.

EFFECT: result is providing uniform controlled grinding of hard-alloy inserts due to reduction of sharp increase of load during grinding.
