FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to cardiology, and can be used in predicting the risk of developing ischemic heart disease (IHD) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus combined with subclinical thyrotoxicosis. That is ensured by determining a thyrotropic hormone (TTH) level in the venous blood, calculating an intima media complex (IMC), an E/A ratio, where E is a genotype by e2/e3/e4 polymorphism of the apolipoprotein E gene, and A is a G-308 polymorphism genotype A risk index of developing ischemic heart disease is calculated in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with subclinical thyrotoxicosis by original calculation formula. If the IHF probability prediction factor is less than 0.89, a minimum probability of developing IHD in a patient is predicted. If coefficient is 0.90 to 0.99, a high risk of developing IHD is predicted. If the coefficient is more than 1.0, the IHD already exists.
EFFECT: method provides accurate prediction of developing risk and primary prevention of ischemic heart disease in this category of patients.
