FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for stabilizing a nitrate-containing explosive by using a hydrophobisated NOx absorber, which prevents accidental decomposition and increases safety and stability of explosive when used in mines with high temperature and reactive rocks. Also disclosed is an explosive composition containing a nitrate-containing explosive and a hydrophobisated NOx absorber in amount from approximately 0.5 wt% to approximately 10 wt%, and a method for its blasting.
