FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and represents a method for prediction of secondary adrenal insufficiency in the patients after cranial exposure in children and young age in the case of extrhypophysial cerebral tumors, including determining the level of basal cortisol, dehydroepiandosterone sulfate and maximum level of cortisol on background of dough with glucagon, characterized by the fact that the level of low-density lipoproteins is additionally determined and the prediction is carried out according to a certain formula, and if the prediction value P<1.52, a secondary adrenal insufficiency is predicted.
EFFECT: invention provides prediction of secondary adrenal insufficiency in adult patients after treatment of extragypophysial brain tumors in childhood and young age.
