FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in production of metal-polymer bulk samples based on ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). UHMWPE powder is filled into the matrix by parts. Between the parts of the powder there are metal inserts. After backfilling, each part of the powder is pre-compacted. Then matrix with pre-compacted parts of powder and metal inserts is heated to temperature of 120–190 °C and cyclic impact pressing is performed for 1–4 minutes to produce metal-polymer sample. Further, matrix with obtained metal-polymer sample is cooled at constant pressure to temperature not exceeding 50 °C, and extracting sample from matrix.
EFFECT: higher strength of combined structural items.
