SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering and, in particular, to a method for manufacturing bulk metal-polymer samples by cyclic impact pressing (CIP) of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) powder. A method for manufacturing a bulk metal-polymer sample based on ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) powder is described, which in turn includes: filling, compacting the powder in a matrix, placing metal inserts, heating, cyclic shock pressing, cooling under constant pressure, and removing the sample from the matrix. At the same time, after obtaining two or more metal-polymer and polymer samples, they are collected in a bag in a matrix, adding metal inserts between them, the matrix is ​​heated to 120-190°C, cyclic impact pressing is performed for 1-10 minutes, cooled to a temperature that allows extracting packaged metal-polymer sample, but not exceeding 50°C.

EFFECT: providing a method that allows supplementing ready-made composites with new polymer or metal parts, which expands the technological capabilities of the cyclic impact pressing (CIP) method.
