FIELD: meteorology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of meteorology and can be used to determine change of atmosphere pressure with height variation. Parameters of passive flight are measured in atmosphere of object with known mass-geometric and aerodynamic characteristics at discrete points of trajectory. Coordinates and speed of the object, the angle of inclination of the velocity vector to the plane of the local horizon, acceleration of the Earth's gravitational force are calculated. For each pair of adjacent points of the object trajectory, the value of atmospheric pressure change is determined, taking into account the obtained parameters, as well as the aerodynamic drag coefficient of the object.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining pressure change of atmosphere by its profile.
